I've decided DA is no longer a site I'd like to continue to stay at.

After I saw the extent of elitism and how far it has streched across the site and into many peoples accounts a few months back (around November when my writing stopped) I started to loose interest in the site. I did my best to comment on peoples works and enjoy there growth and give them suggestions if they sought out the request.

Art is a subject that varies to so many of us. It means something different to each person you ask. Art to some people is just visual, while art is every day life. For me art is the visual and the literary, along with every day life. There is a balance there. It's a way of expressing myself in a manor i wouldn't dare want to express in any other way. It's the tool that can cease the ranting when I'm upset, or the same tool that can create optimism if applied appropriately.

With that, I know that with the elitism, my style, and how I'm barely a decent writer this isn't the right place for me anymore. Once DA inspired me to create. It thrilled me. It filled me with emotion, it captured my attention, and over time the taste got bitter and so the euphoria of a place completely about art changed in my heart to look more like a place to find people of common interest, that had very simillar styles but in many cases that i have seen discriminate against a different style for whatever there reason.
It lost it's touch quickly.

All I can say is that hopefully you each have found a place of acceptance where you're appreciated for your talents and encouraged. I hope each of you rise beyond your own expectations, continously find hope in new endvours and change the landscape of art in general. I wish you all the best of luck in what you all do best.
